Agriculture Business Intern
Life-Science Innovations has a full-time paid internship opportunity in which the individual will participate in a rotational intern experience designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of our core agriculture businesses. The intern will be exposed to different areas within poultry and agriculture through hands-on learning and project-based experiences. The intern will rotate through the following key areas: sales and agriculture supply, human resources, and finance and administration.
Life-Science Innovations is located in Willmar, Minnesota on the beautiful MinnWest Technology Campus. LSI is a Shared Service provider in the areas of HR, Accounting and IT and supports companies in the in the fields of agriculture, engineering, processing, and poultry genetics.
Key Learning Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Develop a general understanding of the various roles, processes, and procedures within poultry and other ag-related industries
- Develop leadership, organization, communication, and time management skills
- Participation in our strengths-based, servant leadership courses
- Complete projects and essential duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have a major in an agriculture or business-related field, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
- Possess strong communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills are necessary for success in this position
- Involvement in campus or related extracurricular activities
- Ability to exercise and apply sound judgment and decision-making skills as well as the ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality of materials.
- Ability to accept supervision, assignments, change and correction.
- Proven effectiveness in dealing with a wide range of professionals, staff, and administrators.
- Possess strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit
Pay: $18/Hour
