Life-Science Innovations is seeking a full time Benefits Specialist to support the administration of employee health and welfare plans while delivering exceptional customer service to employees and customers. This role acts as a key liaison between HR teams, employees, and insurance providers, ensuring accurate benefits records, resolving issues, and distributing materials and legal notices in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the administration of health and welfare benefit plans
- Assist with compliance tasks, including ACA reporting, 5500s, and legal notices
- Help coordinate annual open enrollment and distribute benefits materials
- Review and reconcile benefit invoices with HRIS and resolve discrepancies
- Manage employee benefit changes, new hire enrollments, and qualifying life events
- Enter and track Workers’ Compensation claims and support OSHA reporting
- Support leave administration (Short-Term Disability, Family and Medical Leave Act, and Leave of Absence programs) and ensure timely claim processing
- Maintain accurate records, ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, and support employee inquiries
- Assist with benefit-related meetings, annual flu shot clinics, and process documentation
- Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to enhance benefits technology and processes
The ideal candidate will have the following educational and experience background:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education a plus
- 2+ years of experience in HR or administrative roles handling sensitive information
- Experience with HRIS systems and benefits administration preferred
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Canva and video editing a plus
- Skilled in handling employee inquiries professionally in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality
