Legacy Turkey has a full-time, benefits eligible, career opportunity in the role of Live Production Coordinator. This position will be primarily responsible for developing a live production processing schedule, working directly with plant management, growers, and all of their farms. They will need to be available consistently to maintain, adjust, or change the schedule as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collect annual production schedules from all parties
- Develop a workable production schedule for the plant, farms, and sales
- Collect the grower schedules and convert them into a usable form
- Produce an annual schedule along with at least 10 weeks of detailed weekly schedules
- Create or adjust additional schedules
- Help ensure the wholesomeness of product
- Work with the growers and state officials to provide all NPIP processing testing, reports and records needed prior to processing
- Keep records on file for future audits by State officials or for future needs
- Gather all testing supplies and sending test kits, either in individual flock test kits or in bulk, to growers in order to meet the NPIP premarket testing requirements
- Liaison between the plant, farms, state officials, incoming transportation, loading crews, maintenance or any other group that may affect the production schedules needed by the plant and owners
- Work directly with incoming transportation to ensure the birds arrive at the plant
- Monitor the incoming and outgoing truck scale to ensure it is kept in legal operating condition
- Assist government officials, such has Packers and Stockyards, with all inquiries or audits
- Coordinate schedules with loading crews to ensure continuity and a smooth process
- Keep the partner growers and their people informed of changes and/or operations at the plant
- Participate and be involved with local, state, industry, and federal groups to represent the plant or to inform the plant of industry changes or needs
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and adjust direction based on customer or plant needs
- Experience with National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) is preferred
